One time Katara and Aang decided to have sex while taking a long flight on Appa (Katara was tired and short-tempered and Aang was tired and not in the mood to argue). As soon as the bison realized what was going on he landed on the ground, dumped them both out of the saddle, and flew off.  It kind of ruined the mood and they never tried that again.
