That horrific moment when weapons are being made for the nation that killed all of the Air Nomads in an Air Temple sanctuary.
Well, of course she does. Only rich white Christians running banks and corporations should get money from the government.
After all, how dare we treat all people in the same industry as equals. Just because she gets USDA subsidies as part of her income doesn’t mean anyone else should.
Excerpt below:
Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann pointed to one program in particular Monday when talking about wasteful government spending: a multibillion dollar settlement paid to black farmers, who claim the federal government discriminated against them for decades in awarding loans and other aid.
The issue came up after Bachmann and Republican Rep. Steve King of Iowa toured flooded areas along the Missouri River. During a news conference, they fielded a question about whether farmers affected by the flooding also should be worried by proposed U.S. Department of Agriculture cuts.
The two responded by criticizing a 1999 settlement in what is known as the Pigford case, after the original plaintiff, North Carolina farmer Timothy Pigford. Late last year, President Barack Obama signed legislation authorizing a new, nearly $1.2 billion settlement for people who were denied payments in the earlier one because they missed deadlines for filing.
King has likened the Pigford settlement to “modern-day reparations” for African-Americans. He said Monday a large percentage of the settlement “was just paid out in fraudulent claims” and criticized the Obama administration’s plan to resolve separate lawsuits filed by Hispanic and female farmers.
who the fuck is calling my house at 10 at night seriously who
Someone posted a topic on KF a while back. First post;
I am asking my fellow dudes, how many times has this happened to you?
[link featured is a Family Guy clip where a girl walks up to a boy and asks if he’s going to algebra; he responds with “Yeah, I’ll see you there”, and she runs away crying. One of her friends tells him, “you’re awful!” A voiceover then cuts in with, “the preceding joke was brought to you by men. ‘Men; we don’t know what we did!”]
Anyway when I first saw this episode I was like, “Its true! We don’t know what we did.”, and yes that has happened to me bunches of times. I say something or do something that gets a girl upset and I have no idea why until someone tells me or I find out hours or even days later. I ask, if this has happened to you before. Girls feel free to weigh in on this too.
So. Already this is one of the more inane things it’s been my displeasure to run across. I made my displeasure pretty clear early on in the thread, not really giving much more input than a blunt post of “gender essentialism is bullshit”, and I haven’t bothered with it since then. Until a few minutes ago when I saw this post. The first quote in the tree is actually from me making the comment that this has happened to me when dealing with people of all genders. This was quoted, and the poster said;
That’s obviously because you’re a girl. :|
Well okay then. Ignoring the fact that I’m not a fucking girl. I’m actually pretty sure that the person who posted was joking, so I decided not to rip him apart from that. However, someone else decided to take him seriously. He quote the post and added in agreement;
^THIS Stuff like that never happens to me with guys. You can say whatever you want but you can’t convince me there’s no differences between how men and women behave. This happened to me last week: Girl: Hey, how’s my hair today? Me: Oh, it looks great. Girl: >:l … *walks away* Me: … wut.
Uh.
I’m kind of shaking with rage. That’s why there’s a trigger warning on this. It triggered me and I’m nervous that it’ll trigger someone else.
So. Yeah. I’m so fucking angry I can barely think straight right now.
KF is pretty good about not being heterosexist and cissexist, but when it comes to gender essentialism and binarism, it fucking sucks.

If you really want to waste your life in the pursuit of a neoliberal wet dream that involves nothing other than amassing huge amounts of capital while selfishly disregarding basic human rights, the environment, etc. then you really need to rethink your priorities.
Just throwing that right back at’cha, chief.
